About the National Dressage Pony Cup
The National Dressage Pony Cup (NDPC) was started by Ms. Jenny Carol in 2007.
The inaugural NDPC "pony only" division was held in 2008 at an established dressage show in Wilmington, Ohio. The NDPC was moved in 2010 to the Kentucky Horse Park as part of the MSEDA Dressage at the Park I & II where it continues today.
Through the vision of Ms. Carol in forming the NDPC, ponies have an opportunity to compete against one another at a show designed to showcase the exceptional talent, training, and commitment that ponies along with their owners, breeders, trainers, and riders have to ride and compete in the sport of dressage. American Dressage Ponies have finally been given their own competition,
as it is a long established breed division and sport in Europe.
"It is my goal to grow the NDPC so that it becomes a recognized National Championship for dressage ponies and sport pony breeding through future developement of a series of "pony only" divisions at competitions throughout the United States. We encourage ponies of any breed or mix of breed to compete at NDPC!" said Carol.
